The analysis from the initial overview highlighted savings of between 6o - 78% per physical letter (Initially still printed but with the option to migrate to digital over time) with minimal cost to the Trust. Additional positives included increased patient information based on culture, age, geographic location and need. This personalised information could reduce outpatient DNA's (Do Not Attends) that could save this trust alone an annual 8 figure sum based on a 10% reduction.
